I thought I'd post a photo of the amazing building that Nesting Bird is housed in. It was built in 1855 and has been lovingly restored. I'll post some more images of the street and the other lovely buildings and businesses in the near future.

The Cherry On The Cake

“La Cerise Sur Le Gateau” (the cherry on the cake) French designer Anne Hubert takes inspiration from the sunny side of life and feeds her imagination with it, she then reinterprets it with taste.

Her yummy textiles take basic elements from grandma’s kitchen sprinkled with flashy touches and quirky images.

We are exited to have “La Cerise Sur Le Gateau” cushions and tea towels in store, come in and check them out.

The feathers in my nest

I was sitting up here on my perch above Miss Mouse looking at my blog and I realised I hadn't posted anything on my blog that was remotely grown up for a while so I thought I'd share some images of the shop that weren't so kitsch. I hope you enjoy them.

Just as a side note I wanted to let you know that the street is pumping once more... the line up for Pearl Cafe is long (the food is well worth the wait) and the street is finally looking close to finish. We have trees and we are stoked. Cross Town Eating House is open and offering an enjoyable atmosphere, great food and a vodka or two (my favorite). Come by and visit me soon in my little nest upstairs above Miss Mouse.

It's time to warm up those little tootsies!

How gorgeous are these Pedro Sprout booties. Michelle is in the process of making some more to ensure all our little darlings have warm toes this winter.
